History:
Fishing for life was founded in 2004 by Tom Goodrich. The vision for Fishing for life came when Tom was serving in Afghanistan. Since 2004 Fishing for Life has served 41,000 individuals. Runs 125 organized events annually. Fishing for Life collects & rebuilds, then gives away 700-1000 fishing rods a year to kids and other organizations locally and around the country.
Fishing for Life operates several trout ponds each year throughout Minnesota and the upper Midwest. Giving many kids and families the opportunity to catch their first fish. Fishing for Life runs 12 weeklong kids fishing camps a summer. Plus, several kids fishing day camps throughout the summer and winter. Fishing for Life also partners with several local law enforcement agencies to host community fishing events at local lakes.

Fishing for Life uses over 1100 volunteers with over 9100 volunteer hours to share their experience, boats and knowledge to bring fishing into kids’ lives. Fishing for Life has several fishing events throughout the summer serving Veterans and their families.
Conclusion:
Fishing for Life puts endless hours each year into fulfilling our Mission Statement. And to introduce as many kids, families and communities to fishing as possible.
